How to Build kernel in ubuntu?

Hey i use 15.10 and i need to compile drives for my wifi, so i need to have kernel build for this.
How to build kernel, i already download Opi kernel from github but when i try to compile it i have:
Configuring ......
Building kernel & modules .....
Error: Kernel not built. Message

Kernel in system: 3.4.39-02-lobo
Any help?
