I didn't try 10 bit movie but as you said there is a great possibility that they are not supported. Maybe vdpau-sunxi project has some info on that since they support h265.

Hi~
I tried r21817 version on opi+.
It works well, but sata port not work.
I also tried r21713(opi pc) version on opi+.
It doesn't work usb, ethernet and wifi. otg port works and i used otg for ethernet and mouse.
r21817 version is 720p.
Is any way to configure 1080P?

I tried Tvheadend from http://milhouse.openelec.tv/builds/addons/RPi2/tvheadend/
It's unofficial add-on repository.
It works well too.

Change it in script.bin like everyone else
script.bin is present in the vfat partition.
Boards:
orangepi plus, olinuxino A20, cubieboard A10, mele A2000 .....

So what is the opinion of those who are more knowledgeable in linux about disabling CMA temporary until better solution (e.g. CMA patch) is found? This would solve kswapd issue but it will also take away some precious RAM to linux kernel and reserve it only for multimedia things.

I think it would be wise to disable CMA for the time being and just dedicate some ram to the GPU (like 200MB or something).
I'm sure openelec will still work fine without that ram.

Because this is the maximum resolution supported by display driver. You can try to add other resolutions / refresh rates (it was done before), but there is no documentation about display engine.

EDIT: From H3 datasheet:
The LCD0 module is used for HDMI, and LCD1 module is used for TV.
- Support HDMI interface, up to 1080P
- Support TV interface, up to 480P/576P
- 2 interrupts for programmer single TCON output

Is it recommended to use a x86 Linux for compiling or can I also use x64 without problems? Which distro are you using to build?

I'd like to include the Acestream patch (and see if it works) as I'd really like to have Acestream. (http://xbmc.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=3472 it says it should be fine for Rpi, so maybe also for us?). I'm not sure if it would work though, that's why I want to try build it myself. Unless you can help me by releasing a test-release?
(git:https://github.com/kidchaos/OpenELEC.ACEStream)

I absolutely love the Openelec release but the lack of Acestream (which works fine on Android) is a real downer for me

My build platform is Ubuntu 14.04 x64 - it works without problems.
